The Hague Observatory and Planetarium is the only one of its kind in Europe. It offers visitors the chance to discover the fascinating world of astronomy.

The Space Museum Centre:
After retracing the Big Bang, the Space Museum Centre invites you to explore the galaxies and discover the solar system. The sun can be observed through a special telescope which sends back a direct image. Science is combined with art in a fresco highlighted by a sound and light show taking us on a tour of the moon.

Discover two hemispheres, each 3 metres in diameter, which represent the planet Earth, showing its surface and its different internal layers.

Ludiver Observatory and Planetarium, La Hague
Travel through the history of astronomy in the astronomy gallery; where Galileo appears surrounded by observation instruments. The observatory also shows how satellites link the Earth with space and reveals the secrets of a metereological station. View a slide show of the most beautiful photos of the sky.

A planetarium seating 80 people offers a selection of shows during which visitors can admire millions of stars and constellations. The position and movements of planets and satellites can also be observed.
A powerful astronomic observatory equipped with a 600mm computerized telescope enables the observer to watch the sky's movements 'live' or recorded on a giant television screen.
