| Listed Historical Monument. The Château was originally constructed in 1510 as a fortified manor and partly rebuilt during the 18th and 19th centuries. With its granite walls and stone roofs, the Château is characteristic of a typical Cotentin manor. The park was created in the 1830s by an English landscape gardener and has a romantic atmosphere. A stream gently flows through a series of waterfalls and fringed by 'Lords and Ladies' en route to the lake in which the Château is reflected. The garden contains many species. |
