Dieppe is situated on the north coast of France and has excellent national rail and road links. It is two hours away from Paris by the A29/A13 motorways and less than an hour away from Rouen. If travelling as a foot passenger, there are regular train services to both Rouen and Paris from the station, a short walk away from the ferry port.

Dieppe castle is open to the public as a museum and exhibition space, concentrating largely on the town's maritime heritage. Just outside the castle is Canada Square, celebrating the town's long history with Canada and acting as a monument to the Canadian soldiers who died liberating the town from German occupation in the Second World War. The town's restaurants are well worth a visit, as Dieppe is famous for its scallops and it brands itself as being the 'closest beach to Paris', at just a two hour drive away.
