Eurotunnel - trains through the Channel Tunnel to France
Eurotunnel rail service links the UK with France by car shuttle trains, allowing passengers to access to the continent with their vehicle, and withou tthe need to travel by ferry. Eurotunnel offers one of the quickest ways of crossing the channel and is a great, hassle free way of starting your short break or holiday. There are no fuel supplements, or restrictions on your luggage nor car parking or car hire charges to worry about. Crossings are frequent and take approximately 35 minutes with up to 3 departures an hour at peak times.
Direct links to the motorway
Folkestone and Calais both have direct links to the motorway which provides good access foryour onward journey. No need to drive from the port or negotiate local traffic, an advantage especially at peak traffic times.
Eurotunnel Location
Folkestone in the UK has a dedicated motorway exit at junction 11A off the M20. This will take you straight to the Check-In booths.
Calais in France is linked at junction 42 off the A16 motorway. The slip road will take you directly to the Check-In booths.
Boarding is very simple and safe - a member of staff will direct you onto a carriage and at the end of the crossing, you simply drive off and head for your holiday destination.
Eurotunnel Onboard Facilities and Services
Visual display screens are provided for information about your journey and onboard staff are on-hand to answer any queries you may have. Passengers remain with their vehicle throughout the short 35 minute crossing and carriages are air-conditioned for your comfort. You are free to relax in your vehicle or get out and stretch your legs.
