Southampton port information
Southampton is located on the south coast of England and has good national road and rail links. The port is a few minutes away from the national motorway network and just over an hour away from London by car.
If travelling as a foot passenger, there are regular trains from London and Cardiff Central to Southampton Central, which is a short walk or bus ride away from the ferry port. Southampton is the quickest way to get to the Isle of Wight from the capital because the ferries link in with the London Waterloo train service, giving a total journey time of about an hour and a half.
